"Governor Jim Hogg City Park "  is located just south of the Wood County Courthouse, in Quitman, on Hwy 37.  The phone number is 903 763-2701

The Park includes the "Miss Ima Hogg Museum", the "Honeymoon Cottage", the "Stinson House", and an 800 seat "Old Settlers Pavilion", a nature trail and shaded picnic areas; recently added, thirteen RV spaces.  The fees to tour the antique houses is $3.00 for adults, $1.00 for students and $.50 per person for school groups.

The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The James A. Stinson home was originally located in the Speer Community northeast of Pine Mills.  It was moved to Quitman and restored.  Gov. James Hogg and Sallie Stinson were married in the parlor of this home.
